  1. just a post, not an explanation. i am in no way a medical expert BUT...i had been trying to conceive since my miscarriage in April 2008 with no luck. i did not try fertility treatment but i was coming very close to beginning that journey. i have a son who will be 6 in a few days so i knew it could happen. i just didn't know how or when. i managed to find out that i was severely deficient in vitamin d (6.3 IU's) i began taking 1000 IU's 2x/day and a about 4 weeks later found out i was pregnant. I AM NOT SAYING THAT THIS CURED ME ENOUGH TO GET PREGNANT BUT it did seem to make me feel better physically almost instantly.maybe it did do the trick...there are studies linking the two (vitamin d deficiency to infertility).i'm thinking that there are a number of things that can keep us from conceiving. take time and try to balance things as best as possible. sometimes it's the little things that our bodies may be lacking and we just need to fill it in whether its vitamin d, stress levels need to be balance, hormones etc. i actually told myself that i gave up a month before i found i was pregnant as well. it could have been everything. best of luck to all and stay open hearted with hope.
